Born in Salta, Northern Argentina, Jonsie grew up in Buenos Aires where she studied Design for 2 years as well as Social Communications, receiving her
bachelor degree at Universidad Argentina de la Empresa.
Moved by her admiration for artists such as Rembrandt, Turner, Gaudi and Kiefer, she pursued art studying in Buenos Aires with artists
and mentors Alberto Martinez-Pueyrredón and Magdalena Roccatagliata.
Later she studied at the Art Students League in New York (ASL)
with worldwide renowned artist Larry Poons. In 2014, she moved to New York and attended classes with Kenneth McIndoe, Mary Beth MacKenzie and Mariano del Rosario at ASL becoming a member and full-time student of that prestigious School of Art, where artists such as Georgia O'Keefe, Jackson Pollock, Alexander Calder or Mark Rothko studied.
Always interested in nature, people and different cultures, she has travelled
extensively and lived in many countries.
Jonsie has exhibited in New York City, USA and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Her artworks are included in private collections in the USA, Argentina, Australia, England and Spain.
She is currently a co-partner and resident artist at Studio Back2Back in Long Island City, New York, USA.
